No 7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser | Review

I'm forever changing up my skincare routine to try and find something to suit my oily-spot prone skin. So after receiving numerous £5 off No7 Skincare vouchers from boots (You all know the ones) i decided to give them a go.

I've read many reviews about hot cloth cleansers before but i didn't want to splash out on the Liz Earl on that many people rave about. The No7 Cleanser is £9.95 which is quite pricey compared to my usual cleansers but i was happy to get it with the £5 off voucher. It comes in a 200ml bottle and also comes with a muslin cloth although i used my Washi cloth as i didn't notice the cloth in the bottom!

You can purchase it here!

Here's what No7 have to say;

Product description

No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser has been created to provide tailored skin nutrition for healthy looking, bright and beautiful skin.

Enjoy the luxury of a spa facial in your own home. The combination of this rich indulgent cleanser and the gentle exfoliating muslin cloth removes dead skin cells and daily grime whilst stimulating circulation, leaving your skin deeply clean, soft and radiant.

How to Use

Close your eyes, using your fingertips, gently massage over dry skin in upward circular motions. Run the muslin cloth under comfortably hot water, wring out the excess and place cloth over your face to open pores and relax. Then use the cloth to lightly polish off the cleanser in circular motions. to finish, splash your face with cool water to close pores and pat dry. Follow with your favourite No7 moisturiser.

My thoughts

My new favourite cleanser. I honestly don't think i'll ever look back. It removes makeup (even waterproof mascara), it smells good, it cleared up my horrendous breakout and it balanced my horrible skin.

What more could you ask for?

I'm pretty sure the £5 off vouchers will always be around but No7 is actually on buy one get second half price at the moment so i'll be going back to make the most of the offer.

5 Stars from me!

My forever growing tattoo collection

Yesterday i FINALLY got my plain foot tattooed. The other foot has been done for about 3 years now and i haven't been tattooed in about 2 years. I had the itch. I saw a tattooist looking to tattoo pre-drawn designs for a set price. I went and booked it. I love it.

There's no real reason to most of my tattoos other than the fact i liked them. One day i might do a post including them all....but it might be a pretty long one.....

It's true what they say about the addiction.

OOTD | Dorothy Perkins

I've had this dress stashed in my wardrobe for a couple of months now ready for my Grandma and Grandad's Diamond wedding anniversary party last night. I fell in love with it online so straight on the store card it went.

Excuse the seedy face Dan was making me laugh haha.

Dress - Dorothy Perkins
Clutch - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Bracelet - Pandora
Nails - MUA Pistachio Ice Cream

I can't actually find the dress online now but there are some really similar ones with the cami style top which are just as lovely.

 This is Daniel

And this is the family. My Brother, Mum, me & Dad.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend

Love Me Beauty Box | July 2014

So Love Me Beauty box arrived last, but definitely doesn't deserve last place. It's the first box I've ordered from LMB and I have to say I am massively impressed. The best thing about this box is that you are given three menus to choose from so you know what's going to arrive. Some may say that's abit boring but after never knowing what's going to come in Glossy or Birch it's nice to know you've got something coming you're guaranteed to like. You can also send an email to skip a month if you don't like any of the boxes on offer which I think is great.

www.lovemebeauty.com - £10 plus p&p

So lets move on to what I received this month.....

OFRA Pressed eye shadow in 'Sublime' - £8.80

I've never heard of OFRA before but this colour is gorgeous and i'm excited to try it out. I haven't photographed it very well but it's very pigmented and such a rich colour.

OFRA Universal eyebrow eyeliner - £7.60

The main reason I chose option 1 was because of the brow pencil as i'm in need of a new one. Hopefully this will work just as well, if not better than my Rimmel one although i think the shade might be a little lighter than i'm used to.

LASHEM - Lash enhancing serum - this is a 2ml sample but the full size 3.5ml is £40 (sample size around £22.85)

This isn't just for eye lashes, it can also be used on brows which is great as I don't need any help with my stupidly long lashes. Gonna pop this on them tonight and hope i don't wake up with a monobrow.

So Susan Flutter mascara - £14.95

I think this is quite pricey for a brand that i've not heard much about so i'm expecting good things from this. I quite like the packaging and the bristles on the brush are quite stiff which will be good for separating lashes. I don't believe it's waterproof so i'll use it during the day time as a work wear mascara.

So Susan Dual brow powder - £11.95

I've not used a brow powder before but i'm intrigued to see the different finish from using a pencil religiously. The powder is enriched with Aloe extract & Carrot seed oil to rejuvenate and nourish the skin around the eyes which sounds nice. The darker shade is more me.

The Teashed Northern Brew - 20 whole leaf Ceylon silky pyramid teabags - £3.50

I love tea and the other choices were decaf (death before decaf eugh) or green tea so I, being the Yorkshire lass I am went for the Northern brew. It's a black tea from Sri Lanka and has a good strength and can be enjoyed with or without milk/chocolate biccy ;) 20 bags is a good size aswell and i love the cute extra emergency bag!!

Weleda Sea Buckthorn replenishing body lotion - £15.95

Well this was a surprise, it wasn't even mentioned in the boutique so I wasn't expecting it at all. I've already tried this on my hands as I've had an allergic reaction to something that's left them really dry and flakey and it is SO nourishing. I'm not keen on the citrus scent but hey if it works I can get over it.

So there we go....how amazing?!

I've worked my box value out at £85.60 which is ridiculous. This box wins over Glossy Box & Birch Box this month and I really hope they can keep it up for next month. I can't wait to see what they have to offer!

Birch Box Review | July 2014

Time to unbox July's Birchbox and i'm not actually as disappointed as i was expecting to be.

I'm not overly thrilled to see Benefit in there, these seem to pop up so often from what i've seen it's like they're going out of fashion but i'll give it the benefit of the doubt and try it!

Benefit - The Porefessional £8.35 sample £24.50 www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk or the Birch store

This is a 7.5ml sample which is pretty decent, lets see if it helps with the oily skin.

Whish - Three wishes lavender body butter 22ml sample worth £2.12 - full size £14.50

It states that this is not your granny's lavender. It is.
I haven't smelt anything lavender that doesn't remind me of my grandma and this isn't avoiding that either.
Horrid.

Balance Me - Wonder eye cream £5.25 sample size - Full size £20

Quite looking forward to trying this, i'm getting to the age now where looking after my eye area is essential so we shall see how this one fares.

Models Own - GLITTER IN AQUA SPLASH - £5

Love this. Love models own. Can't wait to use it.

LAQA & Co - Sheer Lip Lube Pencil - Menatour - Full size £14 (Not sure of the size of the sample - is it a sample size?)

I love this. The colour is so me and i'm so happy i didn't get the other shade. I've got it on today and its lovely for day time wear if you're wanting a slight pop of colour that's not too Mac Rebel in your face. I'd definitely buy this again.

Filosofille - 4 sided nail buffer -  I had to google the price of this from www.filosofille.com its €4.13

My biggest peeve with Birch Box is that they make prices of products so confusing. This wasn't even stated on the pricing card. However it is just the lifestyle extra and it will come in handy as my nails are forever chipped and peeling from being in the great outdoors. I'll get my use out of it.

I've got my total for this month's box to £31.82 - i called the LAQA & CO about half size so priced it at £7 but i might be wrong.

What did you think to this months box? Comment with the links to your posts :)

Glossy Box July 2014 | Stars and Stripes | Unboxing

Well it's that time of the month again, time for all the subscription box's to arrive. This month Glossy & Birch turned up on the same day so i'll unbox one today, and one tomorrow. That should give me a day or two before Love me beauty box arrives too!

First impressions were good, love the box with the american flag print but there was no magazine this month. Is this something they've decided to stop or have i just missed out this time? Does anyone know?

Bellapierre Cosmetics Ltd - Mineral lipstick

I first laid my eyes on the lipstick. I was really hoping for red & not orange after seeing a spoiler a couple of weeks back but i got orange. I personally don't like this colour on me, i'm more of a red/purple toned girl but the quality is amazing, it's really thick coverage and leaves a nice matte finish. It lasted a good few hours at work even throughout eating my dinner.

Price £20 from www.bellapierre.co.uk

Carmex - Lip balm

Another lip product. Can't complain, everyone needs a good lip balm and i personally think Carmex is up there with the best of them for a small price tag.

 £2.69 from www.graftonsbeauty.co.uk

ABSOLUTE New York - Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer

(apologies for the shocking photo) I haven't had an eye primer before so this was a nice surprise that i'm looking forward to trying. It can also be used on its own to neutralize redness and to brighten the eyes too which is good.

$4.99 (£2.92) from www.nicka.com

Color Club - Glossy Seal

Color Club nail polish is made in New York and this shade has been made especially for Glossy Box. It's a gorgeous dark blue, not very summery but i wear dark colours on my nails all year round. I've not tried it yet but i can't wait to.

$8 (£4.69) from www.shopcolorclub.com

Pur Minerals - Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque

A good mud mask is always welcome for my oily skin and i'm almost at the bottom of my Botanics mask now so this has come at the right time. Pascalite Clay absorbs pore-clogging impurities while Salicylic Acid removes dead skin.

£2.25 worth of product here. The full size is 120g for £18 from www.marksandspencer.com

So there we have it, four full size products and one smaller sample that total £32.55 in total. I think that's pretty good going. What did you get in your box?

July Meet | Blog Yorkshire | Leeds

Yesterday it was finally time for Blog Yorkshire's first event at Revolution in Leeds.

I've been helping Carrieanne from Beauties unlocked and Faith from Music and Eyeliner out with the planning and other little bits and bats for the past six weeks and it was fab to see it all come together yesterday. It couldn't have gone any better.

I'm not going to go into too much detail as this could end up being a very long post but I've included all the best bits for you below including the goody bags!

Brands that attended on the day were, Espa, Pastille Beauty Bar, Country Attire, Quiz, Wynsors Shoes, House of Fraser, Allertons & Georgina Grogan from shemightbeloved.com doing makeovers - click on the links to find out more! I may have forgotten some there but forgive me, it was a very fast day!

Towards the bottom are just a few general shots i got throughout the day, i'm no photographer haha.

Enjoy!

I have no idea where i'm going to put all this stuff, let alone use it all! We were absolutely spoilt by all the brands that offered products for the goody bags.

Little goody bags were available as you walked into the venue from House of Fraser. Mine included the above which are all amazing. Chuffed!

Country Attire were one of my fave's that attended and their goody bags were so cute!

Espa - I had never heard of Espa before but was lured into their beautiful little area. We were asked to pick out a scent we were drawn to and apparently the scent you choose is what your skin needs. The scent i picked was for combination/oily skin and just look at all the goodys ready for me to try! I'm really excited to use these so i'll be doing another review on this little lot when i've got more to say.

Cute little goody bags from Wynsors shoes were given out as well. I'll certainly get my use out of all these!
