Fragrance Favourites

Today's post is to share with you my four current fragrances that i'm loving. But first of all, lets make it clear that my all time favourite is Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. Unfortunately funds do not allow me such luxuries to use Chanel as an everyday perfume though so i'm all out for now :( haha.

From left to right:

Paco Rabanne - Lady Million

The Lady Million woman creates a flamboyant couple with the 1 Million man.
Brilliant, Glamorous, Femme Fatale, Excessive... she is the one who leads the game.
She embodies the ideal woman, the best won’t ever be enough for her!
Heart notes of Neroli, Orange flower, Arabian Jasmine.
Top Notes of Bitter orange, Fleshy Rasberry
Base notes of Honey, Vibrant patchouli
Scent - Floral

Lady Million is my night out fragrance as its such a strong distinctive scent that will last all night long.
50ml will usually cost around £50.

Elizabeth Arden - Untold

Elizabeth Arden introduces Untold a floral, fruity fragrance. A sophisticated blend of luxurious ingredients with a feminine, modern touch.

Top notes: Pink Pepper, Bergamot, Pear, Cassis
Heart notes: Jasmine, Gardenia
Base notes: Patchouli, Amber, Musk

I first came across Untold as it was a sample in my Glossybox & my boyfriend bought me the full size for my birthday. It just smells so posh! I generally wear this for meals out if i'm going somewhere nice. Again 50ml generally retails for around £50.

Hugo Boss - Boss nuit pour femme

A dazzling flowery and sensual fragrance that is ultimately feminine, just like a little black dress.

Heart notes - White Flowers, Jasmine, Sensual Violet
Top Notes - Aldehydes, Peach
Base Notes - Crystalline Moss, Creamy Sandalwood
Scent - Floral Fruity

Another perfume that my boyfriend bought for me when we went to Egypt. I really wanted this to be a perfume for special occasions but its so nice and subtle that i can't resist spritzing it on as an everyday scent sometimes. 50ml is around £50 although you can pick up a 30ml gift set with the moisturiser which i have aswell. I often use the moisturiser instead of the perfume just to make it last longer as it has the same effect.

Diesel Loverdose - Tattoo

A sensual fusion between the intense passion of Loverdose and the symbolic power of Tattoo.

Cut like a diamond, this multi-faceted heart of precious black glass is an enigmatic and powerful weapon of seduction with the power to create obsession and addiction to love... From skin to heart.

Heart notes - Sambac Jasmine Absolute, Rose Accord
Top notes - Blackcurrant Accord
Base notes - Tonka Beans, Vanilla Beans, Rice Steam Accord
Scent - Oriental Floral

Diesel is my everyday perfume. Its a strong, long lasting scent that i feel suits my personality. I love the black heart shaped bottle. Cheaper than the others Loverdose tattoo is around £40 for 50ml although i have found it on offer cheaper on some online stores.

What are your favourite perfumes?

Ive contacted lots of brands local and well known and will be having competitions throughout the day and a Raffle in aid of The British Heat foundation.

Hope any of you local bloggers will be able to attend and hope the weather gets better for it if not at least its only a 5 minute walk (3 minutes Run) from the Bus and Train Station.

Current nail polish crush - Topshop Parma Violet

Just a quick post to rave about my current favourite nail polish. Topshop's Parma Violet. Find it Here!

A perfect lilac shade for spring/summer that gives a lovely coverage with just two coats.

I can't get enough of the Topshop nail polish range, the colours are gorgeous and the packaging is so cute. However, i do think they are abit pricey at £5 a pop for the plain colours & £6 for the glitter effect/fancier ones. I find the polish lasts a good two to three days before starting to chip but I can't really avoid chipping mine whilst round the stables :(

Have you used anything from the Topshop range? What are your thoughts?

The Body Shop Banana shampoo & conditioner review - With a little help from Tobias

Today I'd like to share my review of The Body Shop's Banana shampoo & conditioner which is one of my favourite products, and Tobias decided to help me :)

Cute eh? Haha!

I am constantly on the look out for products that will help with my dry curly hair without having lots of ingredients that will build up in my hair. As well as it smelling absolutely gorgeous a little goes a long way, both products retail for £4.50 a bottle & usually last me around a month if not more. I have had loads to get through as friends & family bought me about 5 bottles for my birthday & Christmas which has been brilliant.

After using these my hair feels soft and nourished and smells amazing.

Banana Shampoo - Thoroughly cleanses hair for a super shiny finish. With gorgeously fruity banana purée & Community Fair Trade honey. ALL HAIR TYPES.

Banana Conditioner - For soft & tangle-free hair. With gorgeously fruity banana purée & Community Fair Trade honey. ALL HAIR TYPES.

As an added bonus if you have a Body Shop rewards card you can get 10% off. It does cost £5 to begin with but below are the benefits if you're a regular body shopper.

  • 10% off Purchases for a year
  • Free gifts when you collect stamps
  • Special birthday present
  • Exclusive events, offers & discounts
  • Sneak previews of new products

Do you use any body shop products? Which are your favourites?

My daily makeup routine

Hello everyone :) Hooray its Wednesday, over  the half way mark to the weekend!

Today's post is my everyday makeup routine. I'll admit I do not wear makeup everyday, I generally take it all off if I'm doing any form of exercise which is quite often and its rare i visit the stables with my slap on because the horses don't care what I look like, again...quite often. So this tends to be my "work wear" look.

  • I start off by washing, toning & moisturising with Boots own brand Tea Tree and witch hazel foaming face wash, cleansing and toning lotion & shine control daily moisturiser. These products are perfect for my oily skin and leave me feeling awake and refreshed ready to start my day. The face wash is also fab for removing makeup, even stubborn mascara which means I don't always have to use makeup remover at the end of the day. Bonus! They are usually on offer at Boots on the 3 for 2 deal or retail on their own for around £3.50. I have noticed a big difference in how open my pores are now and I seem to have fewer blackheads which is brilliant :) Apologies for the very bare face!

  • Next I apply my foundation, Clinique stay matte - oil free is my absolute saviour. Find it either at Boots or Clinique (personally I stick to boots to build up advantage points) I must have tried every foundation out there but this is the absolute best for oily skin in my opinion. I use shade neutral and it gives me skin a nice dewy glow & stays put all day long.

  • Step 3 is my blusher and highlighter. I use Rimmel London Stay Blushed  in pop of pink & Mememe Beat The Blues Highlighter  in Pearl Pink. The blusher is a cream and you only need the to use the smallest amount as it goes so far. I find this so much better than a powder, much less mess and there are no dusty makeup bag breakages, its also nice and subtle for work. The highlighter I just apply 3 small dots onto each cheekbone to give me abit of a glow/lift. Once these are applied i dust over my t-zone and chin with Lush - Emotional brilliance translucent powder which just sets my face and keeps excess oil at bay.

  • Step 4 - my most important step. Eyebrows & Mascara, usually with a little bit of eyeliner. My eyebrow pencil i could not live without, I look so bare without them drawn on! I have only ever used Rimmel's professional eyebrow pencil in hazel which as you can see is very well used. My mascara of choice at the moment is Soap & Glory - Thick and fast ultra volume in superjet black which isn't waterproof but mine is getting a bit old now so is starting to clump. My favourite eyeliner at present is Be a bombshell in Onyx which i received in an earlier glossy box but as far as I'm aware can only be purchased in America :( During the day i just apply a small amount half way along my upper lid but i usually sport flicks or wings for a more dramatic look.

And there we have it, my finished workwear face! Hair currently in a messy curly bun whilst I try to figure out what to do with this birds nest of curls!

Glossy Box May 2014

Ok, so here is my first ever Glossy Box review!

I have been subscribed to Glossy for over a year now through the good boxes and the bad but i have to say i am impressed with this one. This month Glossy have teamed up with Superdrug to celebrate 50 years.

FIVE full size products plus two bonus testers and i'm excited to try them all. If i really enjoy using any particular products i'll do separate reviews :)

Left: Maybelline New York Colorshow Crystallize Nail Polish in Nearly Black.
Excited to try this as i love new nail polish and the subtle glitter effect in this looks gorgeous.
£3.99 (full size)

Right: Collection Bronze Glow Mosaic.
I've been on the hunt for a bronzer coming up to summer so this is exactly what i need, lets hope it does the job.
£2.99 (full size)

Left: Scholl Velvet smooth overnight mask for feet. Very interested to see if this works wonders on my feet which do get quite dry being stuck in running shoes and riding boots
£7.99 (full size)

Right: John Frieda Frizz-Ease Original 6 effects serum. Its like they knew I'm currently trying to embrace the natural curl although this is more of a styling serum it's another to add to the line of products I'm waiting to use.
£3.99 (full zize 25ml)

B. Sheer conditioning Lipstick in shade Merlot
I'm a big fan of a red lip and like the sound of this vitamin E, Shea butter & Aloe vera enriched lipstick as i do get dry lips being in the outdoors. The consistency is a little glossy but not too much that it slides around, it does feel like a balm and the colour can be built up if you wish.
£6.99 (Full size)

Left: Ghost - Eclipse
A little tester of a lovely perfume perfect for summer. I have always been a fan of Ghost for an everyday scent.
£33 for 50ml

Right: Garnier - Oil Beauty Lotion
Again this will be added to the line of moisturisers and lotions i'm currently trying to get through. I will do a separate post if i feel it's worthy of one ;)
£4.99 for 250ml

I know there were a few different products available in this months box. Did you get anything different? Let me know.
